The PANZERA Flieger WULF ASPIRE is a classic hand assembled 47mm mechanical automatic pilots watch. In 1940, the German Reichsluftfahrtministerium (Imperial Air Ministry) created a specification for a Flieger watch (‘Flieger’ is German for ‘Pilot’) for it’s pilots to use for timing and navigation during flights. Also known as “Beobachtungsuhren” or “B-Uhren” (observation watches) Two dial types were defined – Baumuster A and Baumuster B. The PANZERA Flieger WULF ASPIRE  is a faithful homage to the Baumuster A design, that was produced from 1940 to January 1941 and features:

  • Large size dial
  • Arabic numerals 1 to 11
  • Triangle with 2 dots at the 12 o’clock position
  • Highly distinctive diamond shaped crown to enable winding/adjustment whilst wearing flying gloves

This classic Panzera Flieger design is as relevant and functional today is it was over 70 years ago, and remains popular with pilots, aviators and aviation fans around the world.

The PANZERA Flieger WULF ASPIRE has a 47mm diameter, (excluding crown) and 13mm thick 316L stainless steel case, with an IP Matte black finish. The movement is a MIYOTA mechanical automatic with 21 jewels, featuring both day and date function and 40 hours power reserve. Accuracy is excellent at +/-10 seconds/day.

The beautifully clear midnight black dial has crisp white Arabic numerals and index, with a sleek centrally positioned sweeping seconds hand, highlighted by distinctive “propeller” red and white striped tip. Hands and index markers are treated with long-lasting lume, making the watch highly usable at night time The distinctive diamond shaped crown at the 3 o’clock position is faithful to the original Flieger design and is a screw down, that helps provide water resistance of 50 metres / 5 ATM / 165 feet.

The aged brown non-tapered 24mm strap is high-quality cow leather with smooth grain, offset by a robust pin buckle, engraved with the PANZERA logo.

The PANZERA Flieger WULF ASPIRE is a high-quality mechanical automatic pilot’s watch built with classic design principles, and represents outstanding value for money. The watch is individually serial numbered on it’s case back and comes with a user manual and international warranty card in a high-quality leather presentation box.

PANZERA watches are produced to very high standards of quality. It is worth remembering that the mechanical parts run 24 hours a day when used, so the watch must undergo regular maintenance to ensure long life and good operation.

Have your watch checked for water-resistance by an authorized PANZERA Service Agent every two years with regular servicing. The restoration of water-resistance necessarily involves replacing the seals in order to ensure the maximum water resistance and protection. Where the watch is used in underwater sports activities, it is recommended that it should be checked every year before the underwater activities begin. Always rinse your watch in fresh water after it has been used in a salt water environment. Always ensure that the crown is screwed into the case to ensure water resistance capabilities are achieved and to avoid permanent damage to your watch.

Have the movement of watch checked every two years by an authorized PANZERA Service Agent in order to preserve and ensure perfect operation. If the watch has a tendency to gain or lose time to a significant degree, the movement may need to be overhauled. The movements are designed to withstand temperature variations between -10°C and +60°C (14°F and 140°F). Outside this range of temperatures, operational variations exceeding those set out in the specifications of the movement may be noticed. In addition, avoid placing your watch near items with electromagnetic fields as these can interfere with the operation of the movement and cause serious permanent damage. Items that contain electromagnetic fields include; clock radio’s, stereo speakers, refrigerators, telephones, microwave ovens and so on.

PANZERA straps must be washed in warm water and left to dry. It is important not to dry them on a hot surface or expose them to direct sunlight, because the rapid evaporation of the water could damage their shape and quality. After each immersion in the sea or a swimming pool, carefully rinse the strap with fresh water. Only genuine PANZERA straps are properly designed to fit the dimensions of the case and manufactured according to the quality standards of the brand. PANZERA does not use leather originating from endangered species or taken from the wild.

Avoid changing the date functions and time during the hours of 11pm-3:00am as the date wheel is in motion and changes occurring during this time could permanently damage the movement.
